3.    A pop-up window will then appear and you should put a check on the “I agree with the Terms and Conditions” checkbox. You will then click the “Start here” button on the bottom of the pop-up window.

4.    After you click the “Start here” button, it will lead you to another page in the same pop-up window that has two clickable scanning options. The first clickable option will let you choose what folders you want to scan. The second clickable option will let you choose cleaning options you choose after the scanning process is complete.

5.    After you make you choices with the clickable scanning options, you can then click the “Start Scan” button and the actual scanning will proceed.

6.    After the scanning process has finished, you will see the results of the scanning process in the pop-up window. You can close the pop-up window after you have viewed the scanning results.

For the BitDefender scan using the 2009 BitDefender Free Edition antivirus software, either you can download this software from the BitDefender.com official website or from the numerous software product websites that offer downloads of the BitDefender Free Edition.

In the menu bar of the home page of the BitDefender official website, click on the “Home/Home Office” menu and the Products results page will then appear. On the bottom of the page is the BitDefender Free Edition icon is the “download now” text on the right side bottom of the icon. Click on it to download of the software.  After the download process is complete, you can follow the easy instructions of the downloaded software so you can start you free scan of you computer.
